Construction & Remodeling

The Construction Manager coordinates and manages all construction, repair and new construction projects, and supervises Heavy Equipment Operators (2), Lead Carpenter and Painters (2)

Lead Carpenter supervises Carpenters (5) and Carpenter's Helpers (4).

Specific duties include:

• Manages all construction projects on site. Sets pace for employees and demonstrates proper work methods. Works cooperatively with crew to meet deadlines.
• Hires, schedules, instructs, trains, disciplines, evaluates, and recommends salary action for assigned personnel.
• Develops, prepares and plans reports on materials needed and used for construction projects. Estimates costs and use of materials required for specific construction jobs.
• Assists in plans and cost estimates for both unscheduled maintenance and modification requests. Schedules remodels and construction jobs.
• Assists Associate Director of Engineering in planning annual budget for tools. Tracks and monitors accounts to ensure that expenditures are billed to the proper account number.
