Initial Voice Mailbox set up instructions

  • Call 5100 (off campus call 835-5100)
  • When the system answers enter your extension number and press #
  • The system will ask for a security code; enter 5100
  • The system will then ask for a new security code; enter your personal code and press #
  • The system will then ask you to enter you new code again; enter your personal code and press #
  • It will step you through the rest of the set up:

Name – record your name only
Outgoing message – record your outgoing message.

  1. After you are satisfied with the set up, log out of voicemail by entering 9 (nine) twice.
  2. When you have completed the set up hang up and then go off hook then enter *35100.

From your office phone

  • Call the internal Octel system Number ____5100_____
  • Indicate you have a mailbox on the system ## and enter your security code

or

  • Enter your security code

From outside the company

  • Call the Octel system number ____505-835-5100_____
  • Indicate you have a mailbox on the system #
  • Enter your mailbox number* _________
  • Enter your security code

*Depending on the way your system is set up, you may be required to enter an ID number instead of a mailbox number
