STARTING RATE or SALARY RANGE $33,897 - $42,473

 

 

JOB DUTIES:

This position, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico will assist the Environmental Finance Center  in the implementation of the Tribal Drinking Water Technical Assistance Program. This includes tracking compliance with Safe Drinking Act, providing technical assistance on drinking water related issues, assistance with water quality monitoring, and community outreach programs. Other responsibilities include assistance with implementation of Tribal Operator Certification Program.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineer or equivalent such as Civil or Chemical Engineering; or Environmental Science or equivalent such as Biology or Microbiology required. Basic computer skills required; experience with various computer software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Ability to communicate well through verbal and written means required. Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team required. Ability to organize, schedule and prioritize work tasks (time management skills) required. Ability to work with limited supervision within a specified time frame required. Knowledge of database development and management desired. Familiarity with the Safe Drinking Water Act desired. Familiarity with water sampling techniques and data interpretation desired. Ability to work with small drinking water systems in Native American Communities required.
