POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
TITLE ELECTRONIC TEST ENGINEER DEPT EMRTC/METTOP
REG þ FULL TIME þ STARTING RATE or SALARY RANGE $37,386.00
JOB DUTIES: Serves as a Project Engineer on assigned, complex programs. Develops and performs test programs that produce meaningful and pertinent results. Prepares formal test proposals, test and other documents that accurately describe the test and analytical procedures and requirements of assigned programs. Prepares required correspondence with external and internal offices, ensuring that it is informative, concise, thorough, and accurate. Represents the METTOP in conferences with other scientific and engineering groups both government and non-government, to discuss, plan, and crystallize research and testing programming at the METTOP.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or physics required. Automated tester operation desired. Must know of radiation hardness assurance testing. Translate military specification and drawings desired. Translating manufactures data sheets required. Understanding radiation effects on semiconductors required. Must have a valid New Mexico Driver’s License. This position requires a Department of Defense Security Clearance through Secret to be obtained after employment. Positions employed at EMRTC are subject to a pre-employment drug screen.
