Heavy Equipment
Whether it be skills to operate a
Motor Grader, a Backhoe, or even Welding,
the New Mexico Tech Heavy
Equipment & CDL Training Institute is waiting for your call!
 Learn
a new job skill operating heavy equipment, or get your Commercial
Drivers License (CDL). We can help you do it, and consequently
assist you in your own career goals. You'll get hands-on practice
using the actual equipment in actual working situations! Plus
classroom instruction in safety and further understanding
your machine.
Equipment like:
When:
Most courses are a week long - 32
hours of instruction. The Commercial Driver's License course,
teaching students to drive tractor-trailer trucks, is five weeks
long - 160 hours of instruction.
Times of the courses are arranged
to be as convenient as possible for the students. If students are
coming from out-of-town, the courses start on Monday at noon and
end
Friday at noon for travel.
Where:
The majority of our courses are
taught right here in Socorro, NM. We are located directly on
the New Mexico Tech campus, on the West side. When conditions
permit , we are willing to bring the training program to a
location for you. Please contact us for details.
How much?
The 32-hour courses cost
$700.00
The Welding
School is 64 hours(2 wks), of instruction and costs $1400.00
The
CDL class, which is 160 hours(5 wks), costs $3,770.00
(Includes DOT physical and exam)
